Trust Administration
Koller Herlihy LLP represents private professional fiduciaries and individuals, serving as trustees in all aspects of trust administration.
The process of administering a trust is complex and often difficult to navigate. We advise trustees on how to notify the beneficiaries and/or heirs of a successor trustee and trust administration, take inventory of the trust estate, value and sell trust property, fund sub-trusts, account for the income and expenses of the trust, transfer real property, analyze property tax reassessment exclusion opportunities, and how to make distributions to the beneficiaries.
During a trust administration, it may also become necessary for a trustee to seek court intervention, such as seeking clarification or instructions from the court regarding interpretation of a trust term or whether property is an asset of the trust. Koller Herlihy LLP has extensive experience in efficiently obtaining court orders in uncontested matters pertaining to trust administration and, should a matter become contested, Koller Herlihy LLP is adept at managing all aspects of trust litigation.
