Jennifer Herlihy is a Partner at Koller Herlihy LLP. She represents individuals and professional fiduciaries in trust and estate, including financial elder abuse actions, removal and surcharge actions, contested conservatorships, will and trust contests, accounting disputes, and related civil claims.
Jennifer has significant experience in all stages of disputes, including counseling clients prior to litigation, representing clients at mediation, and through trial. Jennifer has tried matters in multiple Bay Area courts, including a two-week jury trial in San Francisco County resulting in a six-figure verdict for her client, a two-week bench trial in Santa Clara County involving an oral contract claim against an estate resulting in a complete defense verdict and an award of costs, and a 10-day bench trial in Contra Costa County relating to issues of incapacity and undue influence culminating in a dismissal of all claims against the trustee. She has also argued before the Court of Appeal.
Jennifer graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law and obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. After graduating from law school, Jennifer worked with a team of Plaintiff’s lawyers and represented more than 40 families in the PG&E San Bruno Fire Cases. Since 2017, she has focused her career in the areas of trust and estate litigation.
For the last 11 consecutive years, Jennifer has been selected to the Super Lawyers® Rising Star list, an honor bestowed on only 2.5% of attorneys in Northern California. Jennifer has presented to professional groups, including the East Bay Trusts and Estates Lawyers (“EBTEL”), Tri-Valley Estate Planning Council, and Legal Assistance for Seniors, on various topics related to estate and trust litigation and financial elder abuse. She also serves as the Vice President of the Tri-Valley Estate Planning Council.
